Mouna Hamitouche
Mouna Hamitouche MBE – Islington Councillor
Mouna was awarded an MBE in 2012 for services to the community and local government. For her term in 2010-11, Mouna became Islington’s and the UK’s first Female Arab Mayor and has represented Barnsbury ward since 2010. Mouna is active in several local charities and is an observer to Islington Council’s Voluntary and Community Sector Committee.
